The Foundation of Perfact Group
In 1984, the Bhopal Gas Tragedy exposed the devastating consequences of industrial disasters, inspiring Praveen and Rachna Bhargav to dedicate their careers to environmental safety. Praveen, with a background in chemistry, worked across mining and steel industries, while Rachna specialized in infrastructure and real estate compliance. Realizing that consultancy alone wasn’t enough, they began developing pollution control solutions. In 2004, as India’s regulatory landscape evolved, they founded Perfact Solutions to help industries navigate compliance, sustainability, and environmental best practices.
What began as a consultancy soon expanded into Perfact Group, a powerhouse in environmental solutions, offering research, waste management, field surveys, and regulatory expertise. Serving 27 industries, Perfact has influenced policy, shaped industry standards, and championed engineering-led sustainability. Today, it continues to guide businesses in integrating compliance with long-term environmental responsibility and business growth trajectory.

1984
Inspired by the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Praveen Bhargava pursued a career in environmental safety, earning postgraduate degrees in chemistry.
1986-1997
Gained expertise in environmental consultancy, working on mining and steel industry projects, including Tata Steel.
1997
Moved to Delhi and established an independent environmental consultancy, focusing on pollution control and regulatory compliance.
2004
Along with Rachna Bhargava, founded Perfact Solutions on January 22, addressing the rising demand for reliable environmental consultancy. Joined the International Association of Electronic Waste Recyclers (IAER), USA.
2004
Became one of the first EIA consultants to support real estate and infrastructure projects following the MoEF notification mandating prior environmental clearance.
2007
Expanded into two specialized entities: Perfact Enviro Solutions for consultancy and Perfact Researches Pvt. Ltd. for field testing and data analysis.
2010
Among the first 10 firms in India to receive NABET/MoEF accreditation, handling 60-70% of all EIA clearances in the NCR region
2011
Diversified into e-waste recycling consultancy, laying the foundation for Perfact Waste Management Pvt. Ltd.
2013
Led the development of India’s first leather tannery cluster in Ramaipur, Kanpur Nagar, including a 20 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG).
2014-2018
Provided EIA consultancy for major urban development projects, including Trans Ganga City (Kanpur), Saraswati Hi-Tech City (Allahabad), Delhi Aerocity near IGI Airport, and Gomti Riverfront Development (Lucknow).
2016
Influenced MOEF&CC’s policy on pollution load expansion and product mix changes, making compliance more industry-friendly.
2019
Played a key role in standardizing the Terms of Reference (TOR) and introducing Auto-TOR, eliminating the need for Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) meetings.
2020
Contributed to the refinement of Standard EC conditions and redefined pollution load criteria, making approvals more efficient.
2022
Organized a national workshop on Life Cycle Assessment, Pollution Load Assessment, and Quantitative Risk Assessment to guide MOEFCC and EACs in data-driven environmental policymaking.
2022-2023
Partnered with MOEFCC, EY, and regulatory bodies as User Acceptance Testers & Advisors for PARIVESH 2.0, the next-generation environmental compliance system.
